14 March 2024 MRWED are thrilled to be working with the National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (NACCHO) and the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR) to support the capacity building of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health workforce. Today the federal government announced their support for 40 First Nations health workers to complete a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment through MRWED with training to be completed in Queensland, New South Wales, South Australia and Western Australia. Health workers are urgently needed in remote communities and skilling-up more trainers and assessors will help to get more health workers into communities, sooner.
