Creative Training Techniques are proving popular!

We are thrilled to announce that the first two Train-the-Trainer Boot Camps in Brisbane and Sydney for the new financial year have been confirmed and that the Department of Defence have committed to two Boot Camp programs for later in the year. Toastmasters have also signed up for a 1 day Creative Training Techniques workshop in Sydney in October.

Marc Speaks at 21st International Conference on Learning in NYC

MRWED CEO, Marc Ratcliffe was once again invited to speak at the International Conference on Learning held at the Lander College for Women in New York City this week. He presented his popular “Trainer’s Cook Book” workshop at the event.

Boot Camp For Brisbane

It has been confirmed this week that our scheduled Train-the-Trainer Boot Camp has met its minimum numbers and will definitely go ahead. Boot Camp trainer Anthony Josephs said “it is a super program that provides training models, tips and techniques that can be immediately implemented”. “The participants love it and I love delivering the program”, Anthony said. 

Saddle up to the MRWED End of Financial Year Function

MRWED celebrated another successful year at their annual End of Financial Year Function. This year it was held at Brisbane’s Sofitel hotel. During the night MRWED CEO, Marc Ratcliffe revealed the company theme for the next 12 months which is “Saddle Up”. He explained that given that he spends half his time in the US (with his family based in Oklahoma), a cowboy inspired theme helped him to stay connected to his two “families”. During the night the best of the best were recognised.

MRWED are pleased to announce that we have updated the look of our certificates and have included a more streamlined process for students to access their issuance documents electronically.  In an effort to increase our certificate security and provide flexibility in how participants can receive their certificates we have made some modifications and additions to the testamurs. Now MRWED students have the choice to receive their certificates in hard copy and electronically.

Jason to speak at AITD Event in Adelaide

MRWED’s Jason Ash will be showing off our creative training techniques at the AITD “Oxygen for Learning” event to be held in Adelaide on October 20. This one day forum brings together a series of power packed sessions to invigorate and oxygenate your development. “Oxygen for Learning” denotes the need for individuals and organisations to invest and engage in ongoing learning.

Skills Tasmania Conference

The 2014 Skills Conference was held on 2-3rd June at Wrest Point Conference Centre in Hobart. The 2014 theme was “Riding the wave - it's all about...” and included speakers from across the country that represented an excellent mix of expertise relevant to vocational education and training.

SDF Funding for MRWED Cert IV and Diplomas in Singapore

MRWED is pleased to announce that our clients in Singapore can now access Singapore Development Framework (SDF) funding from the Workforce Development Agency for undertaking our Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and our Double Diploma comprised of the Diploma of Vocational Education and Training and Diploma of Training Design and Development. This is a great result for employers in Singapore as they can access a subsidy of up to 95% to send staff our trainer-training programs.

Online Learning Toolkit Webinar with Velg Training

Today MRWED combined with Velg Training to present a webinar about how to engage online learners by creating an online learning toolkit. More than 100 people were in attendance as MRWED CEO outlined some simple ways that trainers can stay connected with their online learners. Death by Webinar is fast replacing death by PowerPoint in the training space and Marc explained that we have to hold ourselves to a higher standard and look to involve participants early and often

MRWED in attendance at AITD Conference in Sydney

Marc, Jason and Micaela were in Sydney this week as part of the AITD National Conference. Great learning was had by all as the speakers encouraged delegates to reach higher and embrace emerging technologies to connect with and engage learners. Around 300 delegates were in attendance over the 2 days and MRWED enjoyed catching up with some old friends and we were thrilled to make some new friends via our booth.
