Supporting UK Delegation

Jason participated with a group of other RTOs sharing their stories and reflecting on the strengths and challenges of the Australian VET industry, as part of a UK Skills Delegation Tour.

TAE training in Africa

Marc returned to Ghana and Tanzania during the month to deliver workshops in the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. This is an important capacity building activity
which will support a strengthening of training and assessing within a safety environment.

PD a plenty in November!

It was a month of supporting VET practitioners from all over the world. We had a strong PD presence, providing webinars for ITECA, SA Department of Skills and Innovation as well as our own VET practice in Action series.

Creating sustainable industry engagement

We have the next webinar in our VET Practice in Action Webinar Series this month. It’s called “How to create sustainable industry engagement” and will be held on Friday 25 th of October 2019. Industry engagement is an important part of the Standards for RTOs as well as a critical element to ensuring training meets the needs of industry.

Time to reflect for the MRWED Team

It has been another busy month for MRWED as we wrapped up the final stages of the rush towards the update of TAE credentials for trainers and assessors. Thanks to everyone involved for making this a successful process. After a crazy six months in that space, we invested a week of PD mid-month, where we tackled important topics success such as mental health and wellness and enhancing the customer experience through our core values.

New credential requirements has been postponed until 1 July 2019

Today it was announced by the Department of Education and Training that the implementation of the new credential requirements has been postponed until 1 July 2019. This means, for those of you trying to complete your studies by the original 1 April deadline, you have been effectively granted a three-month extension to have your work submitted, assessed and certificates issued.
