Time to reflect for the MRWED Team

It has been another busy month for MRWED as we wrapped up the final stages of the rush towards the update of TAE credentials for trainers and assessors. Thanks to everyone involved for making this a successful process. After a crazy six months in that space, we invested a week of PD mid-month, where we tackled important topics success such as mental health and wellness and enhancing the customer experience through our core values.

New credential requirements has been postponed until 1 July 2019

Today it was announced by the Department of Education and Training that the implementation of the new credential requirements has been postponed until 1 July 2019. This means, for those of you trying to complete your studies by the original 1 April deadline, you have been effectively granted a three-month extension to have your work submitted, assessed and certificates issued.

April 1st Deadline to meet Trainer and Assessor Credential Requirements looms large

The TAE Training Package was updated in April 2016, with the core units TAEASS502 Design and develop assessment tools and TAELLN411 Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills being added to the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

MRWED submits it’s application for TAE40116 and TAE50116

MRWED are thrilled to announce that we have submitted our addition to scope application to deliver the new Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) and Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (TAE50116) qualifications. MRWED has spent 8 months honing the application by connecting with industry, developing new learning and assessment materials, creating streamlined mapping tools (and other systems) and validating all these with independent external validators.

This week MRWED launched the Certificate IV in Leadership and Management (BSB42015) to our first pilot group in Sydney.

MRWED is thrilled to announce we will have 3 presenters confirmed for the upcoming National Vet Conference in September on the Gold Coast.

Student Information for the Unique Student Identifier

From 1 January 2015 if you are undertaking nationally recognised training delivered by a registered training organisation you will need to have a Unique Student Identifier (USI).

Your USI will be made up of a combination of 10 letters and number. For example: 3AW88YH9U5.

VETnetwork Conference in Darwin

MRWED participated in the VETnetwork Conference held in Darwin this week. This Conference provided an opportunity for VET practitioners from senior secondary schools and colleges, career and enterprise educators, training organisations, university academics, researchers, policy developers, consultants and industry to network, learn, interact and engage.
