COVID-19 related shutdown of MRWED Training Centre in Sydney
New South Wales has seen an upward trend in community transmission of coronavirus in recent weeks, putting the state on high alert to prevent further spread. As our Sydney Training Centre is located in a named CBD hotspot, MRWED has come to the difficult decision to temporarily close the centre. NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian has urged residents and businesses to be on “high alert” and to “hold the line” against the virus. MRWED recognises that we must do our part in the effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19 within the state. Ultimately, the health and well-being of our students, staff and the community at large is at the forefront of our thinking. However, we understand that there will be some disappointment and disruption caused by this decision.
Our Client Services team will be in contact with everyone who was scheduled to attend a face-to-face session in Sydney over the next 8 weeks, to discuss alternative options. For students wishing to continue their studies without delay, MRWED has scheduled live facilitator-led Zoom sessions until the end of year. To learn more about this hybrid program visit: https://www.mrwed.edu.au/course/tae40116/facilitator-led-online-learning-program.
To review the scheduled options, look for “Facilitator-led Online Training” on our timetable at: https://www.mrwed.edu.au/timetable.
We will continue to monitor this evolving situation and provide additional information when available. In the meantime, we are committed to supporting our students in achieving success in their chosen MRWED qualifications.
