Helen Pentony

Helen has worked in the areas of adult and vocational education for over 25 years, in both the public and private sectors. She is experienced in establishing and implementing effective training and professional development programs as well as working extensively as a face-to-face trainer and facilitator.

Through professional experience and higher education participation, she has developed extensive skills in planning, designing and managing complex adult and vocational education programs and environments.

Helen’s current research is on collaborative learning through flexible, interactive and responsive learning in the classroom, with focus on ‘transferability’ of learning into cross-sectoral industries, organisational learning and capability development.

Helen’s professional and vocational training backgrounds are diverse including working in civil aviation, aerospace and HR management. Her vocational focus in more recent years, has been in higher education and as a mentor for undergraduates.
