A Mali Return for Marc

Marc Ratcliffe returned to Mali to deliver Trainer Training Workshops linked to the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment to mine workers at Syama Mine, in the first two weeks of January. All the sessions were well received and there was significant skills development gained over the fortnight.

Trainwest host Train-the-Trainer Boot camp in Perth

Trainwest are the latest in a long list of raving fans after hosting a Train-the-Trainer Boot Camp at their facilities in Perth this week. The Boot Camp boasts more than 102 alternatives to lecture and has already had an impact with participants. According to one of the participant, they “have incorporated several tools that were learnt in the boot camp and have also spent time changing lectures into participant-centred sessions”.

Marc to speak at ASTD International Conference and Expo in Dallas

MRWED’s Marc Ratcliffe will once again be a featured presenter at ASTD’s International Conference and Expo to be held in Dallas in 2013. ASTD 2013 is the premier event for workplace learning and development professionals in the United States, with more than 9,000 attendees from over 80 countries.  Marc has been invited back to speak on his 26 Proven Techniques to Engage and Enliven Training.

MRWED are thrilled to announce that they have a new home. “We have committed to the staff-friendly locale of Central Lakes for the next five years”, MRWED CEO, Marc Ratcliffe said. “This location is anchored by a Woolworths and has a range of other amenities for staff and students alike”, he said.

MRWED participates in Queensland Premier’s Trade Mission to India

Queensland Premier, Campbell Newman has used a panel discussion with some of India’s industry leaders to promote the State’s quality services in education and training, strengthening ties between the two regions. MRWED’s Marc Ratcliffe was part of this panel and provided an important background about skills development needs and opportunities.

Sydney gets a facelift

Sydney students were greeted to a new look Sydney Centre this week. “This is part of a national refresh program across all our Training Centres”, MRWED CEO, Marc Ratcliffe said. “It is important to create great places to learn as well as great experiences and I think we have done that in Sydney”, he said. From the looks of it, the Sydney crew give it the thumbs up!

Avoiding the Zombie Apocalypse

As the end of the world nears, according to the Mayan Calendar conspiracy theorists, one of our TAE40110 groups in Melbourne helped other students prepare for the impending Zombie Apocalypse this week. Fun was had by all, and some important skills learned if the Zombies come looking for brains to eat.
